Dr. Chioma Ahaiwe, DNP, APRN, PMHNP, CEO
I am a doctorate degree-prepared psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Board-certified with extensive focus on psychotherapy, medication management, diagnosis, prioritizing patient goals, and education across the lifespan. My years of experience in acute, inpatient, outpatient, prison system, and long-term behavioral health settings have solidified my approach to be authentic, systemic, and thorough, utilizing the biopsychosocial model and evidence-based practice in our care for a better patient outcome. My goal is to normalize the quality of care that is unique, cost-effective, and accessible for all. I work with clients in underserved communities, rural areas, jail systems, and long-term facilities who are going through addictions, LQGB+, and all walks of life, struggling with mental health disorders and substance abuse. Additional expertise includes medication management in the geriatric population, long-term personal experience with learning disabilities, including diverse, at-risk, and low-socioeconomic communities on psychotherapy, medication management, diagnosing, instituting treatment, education, providing resources, and rehabilitation.
We specialize in treating anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, OCD, psychosis, Schizophrenia, eating disorder, dementia, delirium, addiction, and other mental health disorders across lifespan (children, teens, adults, and geriatrics). Our initial sessions entail having an open mind, being honest with your symptoms, and understanding your specific goals to enable the team to address them in a way that helps you get your life back.
At Mending Health Care, every human being counts. We strive to give quality care that is equal, cost-effective, and accessible for all. Therefore, every being deserves to live a normal life.
